FLORENCE is the second painting of my sequence PIMANICS - living embodiments of feelings. They open up to deeply sensitive and loving dimensions. By collaborating on a school friend's exhibition about the costume design of the American sitcom "the Nanny", I painted abstracted figures wearing these costumes. The vibrant Jacket the creature is wearing in this painting, is originally designed by MOSCHINO couture.
The Paintings are not only a tribute to the garments, but also present a new perspective on how designs can be interpreted. They bring the creatures to life. And designs only really come to life when they are worn.
